This week saw one of the biggest dates in the fashion calendar. The annual MET gala took place in New York; hosted by Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour and honorary chairs Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry, the MET gala attracts some of the biggest names wearing the biggest designers. We here at The Jewellery Superstore were fascinated to see some of our favourite celebrities wearing not only elaborate costumes, but impeccably designed jewellery – which we’ll certainly be looking to emulate for our own wardrobe.
Gisele Bundchen
Of course, the Queen of the catwalk could not disappoint on a huge night. Whilst maybe Gisele’s dress was slightly understated compared to some of her contemporaries, it didn’t stop her from outshining them – literally! Wearing a sparkling silver dress, Gisele made sure that all eyes were on her. Whilst keeping the jewellery minimal, her beautiful drop earrings complimented her dress impeccably.
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd
Making their red-carpet debut as a couple it was vital that the pair were camera ready from all angles. Selena wore a simple white diamond embellished Coach dress (she was paid $10 million to be the face of the brand just last year) whilst The Weeknd looked dapper in his black tux. Selena teamed her subtle, yet effective dress with a heavy chain. The Weeknd, accessorised his tuxedo with a brooch!
Jennifer Lopez
Red carpet veteran, Jennifer Lopez ensured she made a big entrance to the event with a billowing baby blue chiffon dress. J-Lo teamed the dress with some incredible diamond jewellery. From stacking bracelets, to some very defined diamond earrings. Jennifer also made her red-carpet debut with her new boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez.
