There’s nothing worse than an important occasion sneaking its way up on you and surprising you with a big old shock… having to rush around and find last-minute gift ideas is always irritating and more often than not, you end up buying something that you’re not especially happy with, just because you’ve not had enough time to adequately prepare.
So with that in mind, there’s really no time quite like the present to get ready for Mother’s Day, which is on March 31st this year… not really all that long to go!
A brilliant way of spoiling someone on this special occasion is to find some beautiful jewellery for new mothers, a wonderful way of saying how much you love them and how much you appreciate them for all they do. Have a browse of The Jewellery Superstore website, where you’ll find all sorts of stunning jewellery, perfect for Mother’s Day, whether you want to give some earrings, a ring, a bracelet, a necklace or something else.
But don’t just leave it at jewellery… you could really dedicate the entire day to that special someone and really go all out with the spoilings. New earrings could be just the tip of the iceberg!
What about making them breakfast in bed, really pushing the boat out with avocado toast and scrambled eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice, their tea or coffee just the way they like it… you could put all their favourite recipes together to really show them just how much you care.
Or if you’re not particularly strong in the kitchen, a spot of afternoon tea for the whole family could be a wonderful way to celebrate this particular day. Have a look to see what’s going on in your local area - there are sure to be lots of options for afternoon tea, which is an especially popular day out at the moment.
And never forget the power of a bit of pampering every now and again. Why don’t you arrange for a trip to the beauty salon, be it for a massage, facial, manicure or pedicure. Perhaps anything other than a leg and bikini wax, which doesn’t sound especially relaxing to us!
Massages and so on can be done as a couple so you and your other half could whisk yourselves away for a few blissful hours without the kids… the perfect afternoon to celebrate Mother’s Day, we think!
Speaking of the kids, why don’t you get them involved in some arts and crafts, creating some really fun projects for them to show their appreciation of their mum as well. We like this marbled notebook project that’s done using shaving foam - a brilliant end result that your little ones are sure to have a whale of a time putting together.
